I am Rafia Aziz,an Urdu fiction writer,and for me writing began with a simple love for imagining what if? What if two people met at the wrong time? What if a broken heart found its way back to love? What if a prayer was answered in a way no one expected?

Somewhere between these questions my characters were born and slowly their stories became a part of mine.

I write about love, faith, relationships, pain, healing, suspense, and the beautiful complexity of human emotions.I especially love stories with a desi touch,stories that carry the warmth of our culture,the charm of old streets,family dynamics,traditions and emotions that feel close to home.

As you all know,I have a special love for mountains.I believe “paharon mein zindagi  dilkash lagti hai” There is something about the quiet,the vastness and the beauty of the mountains that makes life feel a little more magical.Perhaps that is why you’ll often find the beauty of nature woven into my stories.

I also have a special love for Androon Lahore,its old streets, beautiful buildings,colourful bazaars and its simple desi charm.There is something about its old-world beauty that inspires me and makes me want to bring that feeling into my stories.

I love creating characters who feel real,stories that keep you turning pages and moments that stay in your heart even after the story ends.
